Where the fuck is Ray Zell these days?.I donpt know if he still writes in Kerrang , because i read the mag anymore, but he should to write a book, or somebody should do an interview with him.He have a website or something?
What about the other "Marionette" members.Is possible to get in touch with any of them?

He doesn't write any more but he's still doing cartoons. He does Pandora for Kerrang and Orgasmagirl for Forum.
He also occasionally posts on the Kerrang message boards, mainly on the Magazine forum.
I'm sure people would like to hear about his friendship with Razzle.
Having two small children I don't get out much these days, but on the odd occasions that I do drag my arse to a gig, nine times out of ten Ray is there. He certainly hasn't disappeared - even if his wonderfully individual style of writing has for some reason.
Apparently Kerrang won't let him write any more...shame, he was the best writer they had. Definitely the most fun.

Xavier Russel was the end to me. He was the Death Metal guy that helped usher in the crud.
Kerrang! these days is appealing to the Durstalikes, Neo-Gothicals(Lacuna Coil, Night Wish, et cetera), and the black/doom/death/Scandinavian Pagan Fascist crowd. Once in awhile, there will be a decent article about an actual band, otherwise not much.
One cookie monster is more than enough for me.
Speaking of former Kerrang! writers, if you read Classic Rock, you will see Dante Bonutto who writes a column on black metal(and looks like Fred Durst), and Dave Reynolds(ex-Metal Forces), who writes on AOR/Melodic/Glam. Funny thing, when they were writing back in the eighties, Dante was a glamster and Dave wrote about the brutally heavy shit.
Dave reviewed mainly AOR/Hair Band albums in Kerrang during the 'saturation' period around '91. Most of his recommendations seemed spot on for me.
Xavier helped bring in the stuff that is all over Kerrang nowdays. He was known for that stuff, and was one of the biggest supporters of Napalm Death back when they first started. Any idea if he still writes for them? I would guess he is in 7th Heaven with the stuff they make their bread and butter these days.
